This beautiful Beagle lady is 9 years old and found herself without a home when her owner died.  Lucy is about 20/25 pounds and very sweet.  She has had a few litters it looks like.  She is up to date on shots and heartworm negative.  She is spayed and microchipped.  Lucy is good with other dogs, she is reported to chase cats but has ignored the 2 in her foster home.

  1. I lost my 13-year-old Springer, Jake, on Sept. 5 and am needing to fill my empty home (and heart)…there are no other pets here, I have a fenced courtyard and would walk (sidewalks, parks and fields) 5X day, was raised in a house with beagles, so I am familiar with the breed. I’m looking for an ‘older’ dog, and Lucy just fits. Please advise of adoption fees, as well as any other details. I’ve already been vetted and approved for adoption with mid-atlantic English springer spaniel rescue.

  2. I’m not looking to adopt, I have 2 chihuahuas that are a handful. But I have a comment/question, for what it’s worth. Wouldn’t it be in Lucy & Buddy’s best interest to be adopted together? They are going through the loss of their owner. They shouldn’t have to go through losing each other. That would be heartbreaking. Maybe Linda Newton who posted about Lucy, would consider adopting both❤
