Joey

Poncho and Joey (and 2 other dogs) were abandoned when their previous owners moved and left them behind in the empty apartment. These guys were adopted by their foster back in August 2017 but are now looking for a new home due to unexpected life changes.  They do not need to stay together.

Joey is an 8 year old male Chihuahua.  Joey is neutered.  He is up to date on shots, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  He previously lived with children and was very good with them, but doesn’t really like being picked up until he gets to know you.  Joey also had such bad teeth that he lost them all when we did a dental in August 2017.

Koley & Kasey

Koley and Kasey were taken to one of our partner shelters to be euthanized because they are “old and have bad teeth”.  Some people don’t deserve to have animals….

These beautiful ladies are 12 years old and are have now had dentals, are spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and HW negative.   They are pee pad trained but also love going for walks.  Koley is brown and tan, weighs 11 pounds and loves to play with toys.  She is the more assertive of the two ladies.  Kasey black and tan and weighs 13 pounds.  She is a love bug and loves to cuddle.  Kasey is being treated for Lyme’s.

From their foster mom: Kasey & Koley are sweet as pie and super affectionate! They are trained on pee pads but also go potty in the yard as well.  In the foster home they are left gated in the kitchen with their crate open for them to go in freely. They both want to sit in your lap and love snuggling and being close.  Koley, the smaller chocolate Min Pin, is very playful and a bit of a clown. Kasey, the taller Black and Tan one, is a little more reserved and contented just to be in your lap. Both girls walk great on a leash and can benefit from daily walks since they could lose a pound or two.”

They can be adopted separately and may even do better split up as they tend to be codependent.  They are not huge fans of the foster’s dogs or birds but may do better in a one on one situation.

Dave

Meet Dave the 3 year old Chihuahua who was adopted from one of our partner shelters and returned 3 months later because 2 dogs was too much work…..sigh!  Dave’s foster reports that he is the sweetest guy around and gets along great with their submissive dog and with their son.  He has been okay with their alpha dog but did get in a scuffle with him after a few days in the home.  Dave is great with kids.  We do not know about cats.  Dave is 16 pounds, neutered, up to date on shots and HW negative.  He will be microchipped before adoption.  Dave is also housebroke.

Flora

Flora is a female Pit mix born 10/27/19.  She is part of a litter we rescued in partnership with a local shelter.  Their mom looks like a pit/whippet mix of only about 35 pounds.  At 8 weeks she weighed 7.14 pounds.  At 11 weeks she is 12.8 pounds. Flora is a beautiful reddish brindle color.

Flora is very excited to be around people, and loves the attention she gets from the staff. She does not like to be alone, and will follow you everywhere! Shes also very playful and loves to run around with her siblings.

All the puppies in the litter are up to date on shots and microchipped.  The adoption contract will include a clause they will be neutered/spayed at 6 months old.
