Great news on Macy: found a spay scar so didn’t need to spay her. Removed the right mammary chain and all lumps are gone. Left side is clear. She is waking up and will be coming home tomorrow.
Macy is a beautiful female Dalmation. She is around 10 years old. Macy came to us emaciated, with a BCS of 1/9. She only weighs 31 pounds at the moment. She was also dehydrated when surrendered to the shelter. Macy is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She shows signs of mild ataxia, but more weakness than neuro. We are feeding her 5 small meals a day of high protein canned and dry food along with goat’s milk to fatten her up and help her gain strength. So far her issues seem to be from lack of good nutrition and age. Macy needs a home with no stairs.
UPDATE: Macy went to the vet on 10-3 and she is up to 35.9 pounds. Once she gains some more weight we will do bloodwork, spay and do a dental. Everything else checked out great.
UPDATE: Macy is now up to 38 pounds
